Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy the copyright to an image?
No. You never buy the copyright to an image. When you "buy
an image" from Focus on Sport, you are buying the right to
use that image, according to the usage terms attached to that particular
purchase. For instance, if you buy a print, you can display that
print wherever you like, but you cannot scan or otherwise reproduce
the image and make duplicate copies. See our hosting company's Licence
information.

choice of finish and its price. Choose which product you want, which
finish you want and then click "Add to Cart".
You can continue shopping and add different items to your cart.
You can select more prints or custom prints from the same photo

Once you're finished buying prints, click "Continue to Checkout".
You must sign in to PhotoShelter (or complete the quick, FREE

Do I need a PhotoShelter account to buy images?
Yes... and No. You can add images to your cart without having
an account. On checkout, a FREE PhotoShelter account will be
created for you, using the e-mail address and password that you
specify during the checkout process. Don't worry, we won't spam
you or sell your information to other companies!

I've added images to my shopping cart. Why is it segmented by photographer?
Because you buy images directly from the photographer (in this case
Focus on Sport), and because different photographers might be selling
in different currencies (e.g. AUS Dollars, US Dollars, Euros, British
Pounds, etc), PhotoShelter segments your shopping cart. A charge will
appear for each photographer that you are purchasing from.
You will not see charges from PhotoShelter for image purchases, as
PhotoShelter is not a part of the transaction.

I'm trying to checkout my cart, and it says something about PayPal.
Photographers have the option of accepting payment through PayPal.
Focus on Sport has chosen this payment method. You will be required
to enter your credit card information through the PayPal website, or
you can log into PayPal and pay using your PayPal account. All PayPal transactions will occur in a popup window from PhotoShelter, so if you
use a popup blocker in your web browser be sure to allow popups from
PhotoShelter.

I click the "Continue with Payment" or "Retry PayPal" buttons,
but nothing happens.
PayPal transactions occur in a popup window from PhotoShelter. Many
modern browsers have security controls to prevent popup windows, but
in this case, you need to allow the popups.

I tried to checkout without using a PayPal account, but it's telling
me that my credit card is already linked to a PayPal account.
You have a PayPal account with that credit card number linked to
it. PayPal requires you to login if you already have an account linked
to a credit card.
